A.F Vandevorst Guerilla store only a click away

A.F. Vandevorst takes its AKTION Guerilla store series online at farfetch.com.
A. F. Vandevorst’s AKTION series of temporary guerilla stores will arrive online at global boutique marketplace farfetch.com on 16th September 2010. For two weeks only, the pioneering Belgian fashion brand will bring its unique sense of style to farfetch.com’s global community of fashion lovers.
The launch of fashion’s first online guerilla store AKTION III will coincide with A. F. Vandevorst’s offline pop-up debut at London’s Dover Street Market. AKTION III will include the A. F. Vandevorst, A. Friend and Fetish collections for women. AKTION III will be a multi-page presentation that includes an interview with the designers, a history of the AKTION series and a video of the AW10 catwalk show. A versatile interactive feature will enable fluidity of movement in and out of the creative world that is AKTION, as well as the opportunity for users to personalize and create their own mood board, and then buy the pieces being showcased.
AKTION III’s unique online presence follows this summer’s AKTION II showcase of a collective of design, fashion and culture enthusiasts in an old property located at the Belgian seaside resort of Knokke-Zoute.

The original concept for the AKTION series was to occupy unoccupied premises in unexpected locations in various cities worldwide, allowing visitors to fall into the world of A. F. Vandevorst including all the label’s collections  - A. F. Vandevorst, A. Friend, Fetish, Nightfall and Relics, with complementary collaborations with various artists.
As a marketplace for world-renowned retailers/independents, farfetch.com’s launch of AKTION III will offer exclusive online access to the world of A. F. Vandevorst that includes fashion and much more.
Through its series of pop-up experiences involving boutiques, designers and fashion lovers, farfetch.com is developing to become the hub of a global fashion community.
