Surianne Rocks F.A.M.E launch party

pastedGraphic.pdf

Thursday 4th December, international singer and songwriter Surianne kicked off the F.A.M.E launch party with a soulful acoustic set. Surianne played her debut charity single ‘Stronger Than Before’ to a trendy east London crowd of arty movers and shakers.
F.A.M.E an evening of Fashion, Art and Music on Kingsland Road, east London took place at the new vintage fashion and lifestyle boutique 'The Pattern Market' in collaboration with the charity Hestia. Celebrities, fashionistas, artists and local talent gathered to support the London based charity Hestia, raising funds and awareness for Hestia’s domestic violence services.
Surianne’s single ‘Stronger Than Before’ was selected by Hestia as their charity single, with all monies from the single download proceeding to the charity, specifically to children and family projects - enabling mothers and children affected by domestic violence to rebuild their
lives.
Surianne an independent up and coming artist hailing from the rock of Gibraltar, recently performed at The Emirates Stadium for The Princes Trust. Surianne is certainly having an effect on her audiences with her soulful vocal skills and experimental music style. Her music brings a new wave of sound in flamenco inspired Latin rock, strongly influenced by the fusion of the acoustic guitar. Her style is reminiscent of warm summer nights by the Mediterranean Sea. Melancholy melodies and heaps of upbeat Latin attitude make her performances original and infectious. Surianne delivered on the evening a set of strongly felt and whimsical songs that were embraced and celebrated by the east London crowd.
‘Stronger Than Before’ an interesting ballad, deals mostly with a philosophical attitude towards life and relationships, reflecting the charity theme. Both sweet and controlled, Surianne more than holds her own with her illustrious performances and heartfelt lyrics.
Surianne is currently working on an EP; a colourful array of songs, infectious melodies
and soaring vocals, complemented by her talented band mates who’s understanding of her
music help create what you hear.
Her voice and tunes are strong, and both words and music paint a young woman still very much in movement, change, flux. It’s an intriguing sound, and one that thoughtful listeners will cherish. Highly recommended listening and must-see live performance.

Killer Heels Kicks Off

Killer Heels Kicks Off

It seems that everyone is indulging in a bit of shoe fest these days. First the announcement of the much anticipated opening of Selfridges shoe galleries (I literally can.not.wait), Vivienne Westwood's shoes exhibition is currently underway and now even London's dance house at Sadler's Well's is exploring shoe phenomena with it's latest production of 'shoes' with toe-tapping, catchy, footwear-inspired song and dance numbers.

Save the Children has taken this modern age passion to create awareness of killer diseases, with the launch of its Christmas campaign - ‘Killer heels to stamp out killer disease’

From today, Save the Children are calling for donations of ‘Killer heels to help stamp out killer diseases’. Making an appeal to the fashion industry and the British public to donate their killer heels and help stamp out killer diseases such as pneumonia, malaria and measles taking millions of children’s lives around the world. Designer heels will be displayed at ‘Mary’s Living & Giving shops for Save the Children’ in December and auctioned online.

While designers are donating some of their money-can’t-buy shoes to the campaign, Save the Children is also appealing to the general public to join in by donating their most sparkly and glitzy shoes of the season to their local Save the Children shops.

Watch this space for news and updates on the latest on Killer Heels and make sure to go through your wardrobes and rifle through your shoe racks. Those glitzy shoes that are never to be worn again could make a big difference. Now you can donate them and know that they’ve helped save children’s lives around the world.
