                                Drawing on Style

                     Four Decades of Elegance

GRAY M.C.A, leading specialists in fashion illustration are currently holding a selling exhibition of original fashion illustrations from Post War 1940s through to the 1970s. The exhibition which is now open to the public is open until 16th September 2014 at Gallery8, Duke Street, St James's, London.

Coinciding with London Fashion Week SS15, the exhibition includes more than 40 beautiful original works by some of the leading illustrators of the time from Britain, Europe and America including Rene Grau & Carl 'Eric' Erickson for publications including British and American Vogue, Harpers & Queen, The Sunday Times, Frau im Spiegel (Germany) & Jardin des Modes (France) as well as advertising work for L'Oreal and other famous names in Haute Couture such as Nina Ricci. There is also a selection of original designs and designers including Dior, Barbara Hulanicki of BIBA and Zandra Rhodes. Prices range from £300 - £10,000.

As a fashion illustrator myself it was a pleasure and a rarity to experience these carefully curated and beautiful original pieces of valuable art. A must visit, these are some of my favourite illustrations amongst many.
