I love crazy wigs, and it's a shame I can’t go around wearing them in real life without odd looks or getting arrested at my local Waitrose, whereas celebs can get away with it as part of their bigger-than-life personas. This month the Nation will be toasting to all things British, with a line up of events placing British talent right where they belong - in centre stage.

Britain is riding high with a streaming of emerging artistic talent, today's Brit Awards was praised even by the harshest of critics. The stand out performances were pure musical genius, particularly Adele delivering a heart rending ballad armed with nothing but a big voice. Whilst Plan B staged a rock opera featuring riot police and live kettling (for a split second I actually thought a real riot had broken out at the awards) Riot police were a bit of a theme.
